The Hmong American Association of Colorado (HMAAC) was found with a grass root effort by members of the Hmong-American community as a social service association on October 13, 1992. It’s goal is to address the challenges faced by a community much in need and much underrepresented. HMAAC received its first outside fund in 1998 from the State of Colorado’s Refugee Services Program, which allowed the organization to open offices and begin offering more structured programs.
In 2004, HMAAC became a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Since its creation, HMAAC has provided its social services to the Hmong and Lao community residents. Its programs and services offer an invaluable resource to the community.
The Hmong American Association of Colorado is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting, preserving, promoting, developing and advocating for the rights and interests of the Hmong community in Colorado, to be successful within the larger community.
